Espo's Spring Training with Nikki

This is a 6-week class that will give your body a jump start for Spring! Be ready for energizing sessions that only Nikki can deliver. This class pulls out all the stops with blazing circuits that include Tabata, MMA-style activities, kicking and more. Start getting ready for beach season now!

Parkinson's Boxing Program with Tessa

This non-contact boxing class is designed to help slow the progression of Parkinson’s through stringent exercise. It has been shown that exercise for those with Parkinson’s can improve gait, balance, tremor, flexibility, grip strength and motor coordination. It also enhances well being across the different stages and severity of Parkinson’s. This class will focus on agility, hand-eye coordination, balance, improvement of footwork, rhythm and range of motion. Each class is always fun, always different and tailored to your abilities. The shared experience within this class will develop a sense of camaraderie and support like no other.

Note: There are 2 sets of stairs to navigate, both with handrails. Sorry, we are not wheelchair accessible.

Fight Camp with Tessa

Want to train like a boxer without the bruises? Get fighter fit with Fight Camp training. Start your week off right and never miss a Monday! This motivating and fun class will condition you like a fighter utilizing the tools of the trade for training, including aerobic and anaerobic exercises. This is a non contact conditioning class that is appropriate for all levels. Come to camp and get in the best shape of your life! Complimentary Core Blast is included with every class!

Strength Training-Working Out With Weights with Tessa

Working out with weights applies the basic principles of training with weights using resistance. The format in this class will mainly focus on Squats, Dead Lifts, Chest Presses and Overhead Presses. This is a class for all ages and level of experience. This class is designed to match your abilities and goals specifically to you. Training with weights using resistance produces significant health benefits for people of all ages. It builds strength, increases skeletal muscle, helps tendon and ligament strength, improves joint function and reduces injury. It increases fitness and cardiac function. It enhances bone density and elevates your metabolism. Working out with weights makes you look good and feel good.

Cardio Mix with Stretch with Jo-Ellen

Shake up your fitness routine with interval training. Burn calories, improve your heart health and get stronger. This class alternates between periods of high activity (hi/lo aerobic and traditional calisthenics) and active rest focused on muscle tone and strength. The class concludes with a series of relaxing stretches that draw from dance, yoga, therapeutic conditioning and traditional exercise. Participants should wear proper athletic attire. Bring water and a mat or towel for abdominal work and stretching.

Agility & Conditioning by Bubba

Want to work on your speed, balance, power and coordination? This class is for you. Exercises and drills are scientifically designed to improve strength, speed, agility and overall conditioning. This class is appropriate for weekend warriors and competitive athletes.

Bootcamp by Bubba

This is a fun, challenging group class that features a total body workout. It consists of interval training with, weights, body weight exercises and cardio all mixed into one (not to mention kick’n music!) Boot camp is designed with bursts of timed intense activity alternating with rest intervals for 50 plus minutes. This class builds strength, fitness, and burns fat. It also builds confidence and self esteem. Did you know that using a HIIT type protocol also helps manage Type 2 Diabetes? It does so by lowering insulin resistance via enhancing skeletal muscle fat oxidation and improves glucose tolerance. Do something good for yourself and your body! Sign up for Boot camp today. Kids-B-Fit by Bubba

Exercise for kids is more than fitness. When kids learn to move better, they move -- for Life! At Summit Fitness we subscribe to this belief. We create fun, safe and effective kids fitness programs that are strategically designed for physical activity, but kids view as play. This class is for kids ages 5-12.

Power & Strength by Gina

Power and Strength is an exciting new fusion class that is high energy. It incorporates punching and kicking with strength and cardio, using focus mitts, heavy bags, kick pads along with weights, TRX and body weight exercises. This class has it all! Come and challenge yourself while getting powerful and strong!

Gloves and wraps are needed for this class and are available to purchase at The Summit (cash or check only).

Power Box by Gina
Punch your way to total fitness. Learn to hit the punch mitts and the heavy bag like a pro. This non-contact and safe boxing class covers not only boxing basics but includes drills to include all-over body fitness. You will improve your strength, edurance, mental agility and balance in this class, all while having a blast.

I have a passion for sports, wellness, nutrition and fitness. I also struggle with my weight as most do. I try everyday to lead a happy healthy lifestyle. I have had many failures but more successes,which I want to share with you. For over 10 years I have been studying and obtaining certifications culminating with a Masters Degree related to health, fitness and nutrition. I have been teaching and coaching throughout the fitness community and now I can share it all with you at Summit Fitness! How great is it that you get to be coached through making lifestyle changes from somebody who has actually gone through the process herself?! In addition to teaching classes at The Summit I am available to perform wellness, nutrition and fitness evaluations, which also includes a comprehensive movement assessment. I will create a safe effective individualized training program for you. I want to make a difference in your life by inspiring, energizing and motivating you to live a healthy, active lifestyle.

Several years ago I found an immediate love for boxing and a deep connection for fitness and nutrition. I have deepened my knowledge of nutrition and fitness through course work and personal experience. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and have worked in the fitness community as a personal trainer, boxing coach, a Parkinson’s boxing coach and nutrition coach for 5 years and 3 years as an amateur boxer. I love to provide challenging workouts while providing encouragement and the motivation needed to achieve your goals. I enjoy going the extra distance, especially if it means making a difference in the lives of our members. All my sessions are led with a good heart and positive energy.
